Goshtasb, the king of Iran, returns from a great battle and finds that Arjasb, the king of Turan, has adopted the Iranian tendency towards the religion of Bahi and monotheism and, in his absence, has invaded Iran, devastating the country and its people and taking his daughters Homay and Be Afridi captive.
